7MileBitcoin is a loose group of Cayman residents who are enthusiastic about Bitcoin. We want to educate Cayman about the benefits of a decentralized asset like Bitcoin, help drive local adoption by individuals and business, and facilitate a resilient peer to peer economy on island that doesn’t rely on banks or charge high fees.

Because Bitcoin is the most resilient form of digital money that exists today. It’s entirely run and operated by hundreds of thousands of people around the world in a completely decentralized manner. It’s not controlled by a government, a corporation, an opaque central bank, a foundation, or even by a defined group of persons.

Bitcoin allows global citizens to re-take control of money.  Money has been controlled and mis-managed by governments for thousands of years, causing inflation and erosion of purchasing power.  Bitcoin isn't about making more dollars and investing - its about holding corporations and governments accountable.
